About Us

The Soledad Community Health Care District Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation in the state of California. Acting as the philanthropic arm of the health care district, the foundation works to support the services and programs of the Soledad Medical Clinic, Eden Valley Care Center, and the Women's Health Center.

Our dedicated Board of Trustees volunteer their time to promote and work towards improving the health of the Soledad community and govern the affairs of the foundation including expenditure decisions, grant applications, and development strategies.

The Foundation is completely supported by people like you who want to make a difference and get involved through volunteering, donating, and planned giving. We invite you to learn more about the Foundation and consider the ways your partnership with the Foundation can improve the health of the community of Soledad and surrounding regions.

What We Do

The purpose of the foundation is to support the programs and services of the Soledad Medical Clinic, Eden Valley Care Center, and Women's Health Center. All funds received by the Foundation support these three not-for-profit medical facilities.

Gifts to the Foundation have underwritten the cost of a variety of projects, which benefit the patients of the Eden Valley Care Center. These include features of the Eden Valley Care Center like the Atrium, made possible in part by a grant from the Harden Foundation. Individuals have also had a direct impact on the quality of care at Eden Valley and have donated funds to build the Orchid House in Rosie’s Garden, and a beautiful Oak bench where families enjoy sitting to visit with their loved one.

Donations also improve the quality of programs and equipment at the Soledad Medical Clinic. An ongoing grant development program provides funding for sophisticated diagnostic equipment in the hands of providers and to the Pre-Natal Well Baby Program in which mothers are given medical care and instruction on proper nutrition, infant, care, parenting, early literacy, and more.
